In this section, you will learn how to
draw objects (Line, Arrow, Rectangle, Oval, Text Box…), add WordArt, change the
objects attributes, use the Auto shapes and add Clip Art and Pictures.
♣Drawing Objects To draw or add an object you must display
the Drawing toolbar. To display the drawing toolbar:
From main menu, click →view → Toolbars Drawing, the drawing toolbar will appear at the bottom of MS Excel
screen
♣Drawing
a Line
● To draw a line:

Click on the sheet and drag
the mouse pointer until you have the line you want.
♣Drawing an Arrow
● To draw an arrow:
2- Click on the sheet and drag the mouse pointer until you
have the arrow you want.
♣Drawing a Rectangle
● To draw a rectangle:

Click on the sheet and drag
the mouse pointer until you have the rectangle you want.
♣Drawing an Oval
● To draw an oval:

Click on the sheet and drag
the mouse pointer until you have the oval you want.
♣Adding Text Box
Text boxes are useful when you need to add text to a
specific area of a sheet.
● To
add a text box:
1- Click the Text Box icon on the Drawing toolbar:
OR from the main menu, select Insert → Text Box.
2- Click the area of the sheet you would like your text
box and drag the text box to the size you want.
3- Click inside the text box and begin typing.
♣Adding WordArt Text
WordArt
adds artistic and decorative effects to the text on your sheet.
● To insert WordArt:
OR from the main menu, select Insert → Picture → WordArt. This will open the WordArt Gallery dialog box:

Select a WordArt Style and click OK.

Type your text and click OK:
● To edit WordArt:
To edit WordArt you
must select the WordArt object then Display the
WordArt toolbar,
and then click edit text option.
From the main menu, select → View → Toolbars WordArt this will display the following
Wordart toolbar:
