Grouping and Ungrouping Layering Rotating and Flipping Objects

Grouping objects is useful when you need to make the same change to a group of objects, such as resizing or moving. 

 ● To group objects:

1- Make sure the Select Object icon is highlighted on Drawing toolbar.

2- While holding the Shift key down, click on all the objects you want to group.

3- Click on the down arrow next to  Draw iconon Drawing toolbar.

Then select Group: 

 

 

OR right-click on the selected objects, then select grouping option, and then select group.

● To ungroup objects:

1- Make sure the Select Object icon is highlighted on the Drawing toolbar.

2- Click on the group of objects you want to ungroup.

3- Click on the down arrow  next to the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar. Select Ungroup.

OR right-click on the selected objects, then select grouping  then select Ungroup.

 ♣Layering Objects

Layering objects is useful when you have multiple objects on a sheet and you want to ensure

a particular object is on top or in the background.

 

●  To bring an object to the front:

1- Make sure the Select Object icon    is highlighted on the Drawing toolbar.

2- Click on the object you want to bring to the front.

3-  Click on the down arrow   next to the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar. Select Order   →     Bring to Front:

   

OR right-click on the selected object, then select Order  then select Bring to Front.

 

●To send an object to the back:

1-  Make sure the Select Object icon   is highlighted on the Drawing toolbar. 

2- Click on the object you want to send to the back.

3- Click on the down arrow next to the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar. Select Order    →      Bring to Back.

OR right-click on the selected object, then select Order  then select Bring to Back.

♣Rotating and Flipping Objects

● To free rotate an object:

Free rotate allows you to rotate an object to any angle you desire.

1- Click on the down arrow next to the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar. 

2- Select Rotate or Flip    →    Free Rotate.

3- Click on the object you want to rotate.

4- Click (and hold) the rotate handle and drag the object until you reach the angle you

want:

● To flip an object horizontally:

1- Click on the object you want to flip.

2- Click on the down arrow next to the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar.

3- Select Rotate or Flip     →    Flip Horizontal.

OR right-click on the object, then select Rotate or Flip    →     Flip Horizontal.

 

● To flip an object vertically:

1- Click on the object you want to flip.

2- Click on the down arrow next to the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar.

3- Select Rotate or Flip   →     Flip Vertical.

OR right-click on the object, then select Rotate or Flip  →    Flip vertical.
